BGE Re-Regulation -- Baltimore Delegates Jill Carter, Pat McDonough Fight For Change

Since deregulation, electricity rates for residents in Maryland have gone up 85%. Of course, no word from the most honorable Governor Martin O'Malley on relief for the citizens of Maryland. Maybe he plans to stimulate us instead.

Several elected representatives have pushed to have the power company re-regulated after sky high utility bills continue to spark complaints from around the state.

I am continually impressed by these two delegates. Unlike so many politicians, they keep it real. Some folks get elected, and it seems in a short while, they totally lose touch with the people who voted them in. Seeking only to secure the next election, or the next higher position in politics.

I'm glad to see some legislators are taking their obligations to the public interest seriously, and that they are not all like the out -of-touch, hypocrite, Sandy Rosenbergs of the world who sponsored the de-regulation which created this problem and has said NOTHING and done NOTHING to work towards re-regulation since.

Don't be fooled re-regulation won't lower rates of electricity. The Public service Commission has concluded as much. If you want lower rate. You can buy your power from a competitive supplier like Washington Gas Energy Services. They are selling it at 10% less than BGE.

MESSAGE TO ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT/INTELLIGENCE AGENCIES

To all those who willfully, deliberately and routinely violate the civil rights of law abiding American Citizens; Yes, you're powerful. Sure, you're everywhere. But this is still America, and the Constitution of the United States Of America still reigns supreme as the law of the land. The Baltimore Spectator will vigorously and aggressively defend against any and all attempts at spying and suppression. Let it be known to all that we are already aware of the regular monitoring and shadowing attempts. There is nothing to hide, but cross the line and there will be hell to pay.

In the end, efforts to impinge upon the freedoms of the people will ultimately fail. Some of us may get taken out in the ongoing battle for true and lasting freedom, but as I've said many times before, and will say till the day I die or get taken out by you goons, THERE ARE MORE OF US, THAN THERE ARE OF YOU.
